Empowering Women in Construction: A Successful Networking Lunch at Pepper Construction

The June OBDC Women in the Construction Industry lunch, hosted by Pepper Construction of Columbus, was a huge success! Women from across the state came together to network, share resources, and gather information on how to do business with the 97-year-old company. Many thanks to Candance Klepacz, a Pepper Construction Vice-President, for hosting us and providing lunch. Special thanks to Dwanna Allen for sharing information about the City of Columbus certification programs.

“This tour has been a big success. The ladies involved are making new contracting connections and growing our networks. Women are helping and empowering each other.” – Ronda Watson Barber, OBDC CEO/Founder

“This event was incredibly insightful. I made valuable connections and learned a lot about opportunities within the industry.” said an attendee
