The Ohio Business Development Center (OBDC) is pleased to announce that nine local businesses and its CEO, Ronda Watson Barber, have become EPA-Certified Lead Renovators. This achievement was made possible through funding from the Franklin County Commissioners and falls under the OBDC Construction Academy.

Quote from Ronda Watson Barber, CEO of OBDC:

“Columbus is experiencing a construction boom, and OBDC is committed to preparing local contractors for this growth.”

Additional Highlights:

  • Four of the certified vendors are also LEDE-certified with Columbus City Schools and can begin work on projects immediately.
  • The CCS Outreach Coordinator attended the training and provided insights into their supplier diversity program.
