The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority is requesting proposals for Tree or Shrub Trimming and Removal, Landscape Enhancements, and Related Work at LIPH and LHA AMHA Properties within Summit County, Ohio.

A pre-proposal conference will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at 100 West Cedar Street, Akron, Ohio 44307.

The first training session of the OBDC Construction Academy was held on May 24 at the Columbus Library.  Contractors, who are members of the OBDC Planroom, received valuable instruction on estimating a construction project from industry expert James Jones, owner of HCI Inspectors.  The class got one-on-one attention and tips on how to get the “right number” to bid on a project.

James provided his contact information and encouraged the class to keep in touch.

The Work, in general, consists of the replacement of the sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulfite PVC pipe systems with HDPE piping at the Jackson Pike Wastewater Treatment Plant and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB).
